Ken Yoshino, D.P.T., A.T.C. – CEO of A.C.I.C. and Clinic Director (Irvine location)
Dr.
Yoshino graduated with a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Boston
University. He also possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy
from California State University, Long Beach, and a National Certification
in Athletic Training. Dr. Yoshino has over 30 years of experience as
a Staff Supervisor and Chief Administrator of a physical therapy practice.
He has completed extensive work in orthopedic, pre-surgery, post-surgery,
conditioning, and preventative care. His concentration is in working
with athletes at all competitive levels.
Brett Eirich, P.T., A.T.C. – Clinic Director (Tustin location)
Brett obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University Medical School, and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Physical Education/Health from California State University, Fullerton. He has been the Clinic Director of the Physical Therapy Center of Tustin, an affiliate of ACIC Physical Therapy, since 1993. Brett has over 20 years of experience in the field with an emphasis in orthopedics, sports medicine, and manual therapy. He enjoys teaching as well, and has clinical affiliations with Chapman University, CSU Long Beach, and USC.
John Dougherty, P.T.A., A.T.C., T.P.I.– Physical Therapist Assistant, Certified Athletic Trainer
John completed his Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach, emphasis in Athletic Training, and the Cerritos College Physical Therapist Assistant Program. During his 13 years of employment at ACIC Physical Therapy he has been involved in all aspects of patient's care, including continuing education in Pilates, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation( PNF) Manual Therapy, ThrowCord, and Kinesiotaping techniques, and Soft-Tissue Mobilization. John has also completed the Titleist Golf Performance Institute (TPI) Certification of Golf Fitness and Movement Analysis. He is the current Sports Medicine Advisor to El Toro High School. He is the former Director of Athletic Training for ACIC Physical Therapy, and Head Athletic Trainer for both Capistrano Valley High School and Mission Viejo High School.
Stacy Pearl, D.P.T., C.C.I. – Physical Therapist
Stacy has been with ACIC since 2004. She was a 4-year scholarship academic/volleyball player from the University of Missouri - St. Louis, and went on to receive her Master's in Physical Therapy from California State University - Long Beach in 2008. Her current evidence-based knowledge, coupled with trusting patient relationships yields an expert level of success and patient satisfaction. Stacy is also well educated in screening and making an appropriate medical referral if indicated. Stacy earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Temple University.
Brenda Madsen, D.P.T., O.C.S. – Physical Therapist
Brenda graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biology in 1995 and further attended the University of Southern California where she obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 1999. After practicing outpatient orthopedics at ACIC Tustin for 4 years, Brenda completed the yearlong weekend Kaiser Orthopedic Residency Program and obtained her OCS credential and the title Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Brenda is currently adjunct faculty at Orange Coast College where she teaches Anatomy Lab, and she also serves as a Clinical Instructor for Physical Therapy Interns under ACIC's affiliations with USC, Chapman, Western, and CSULB.
Sibylle A. Mehta, D.P.T. – Physical Therapist, Certified Yoga Instructor
Sibylle obtained her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from the prestigious Academy Thim van der Laan in Switzerland and completed her thesis regarding the impact of gymnastics on young athletes. The European techniques that she provides offer a special, hands-on, unique interaction and treatment style. She is known for her soft tissue mobilization and pain control. As an athlete she was 3X Austrian National Grand Gymnastics Champion, Member of the World Gymnastic Team, and winner of the "Medal of Honor" for sports in Austria. She screens and treats gymnasts at an Orange County gymnastics club, and is a published co-author of "Gymnastics and Back Pain" in the magazine Technique. She is well versed in yoga and martial arts.
Currently, she is completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
Shane Ravenelle, A.T.C. - ACIC Clinc Trainer
Shane graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Athletic Training. He has a passion for corrective exercise, manual therapy, and preventative care. Shane currently works as a Clinical Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapy Aide that takes part in patient safety and assists the patients in their rehabilitation. He is also takes part in local sports events to provide preventative and emergency care.
Practice Manager
Karen Herz – Office Manager
Karen has been a member of the ACIC Physical Therapy team since 1988. She started working as an Aide assisting the Physical Therapists with patients in the back office. She has worked in all administrative capacities over the years, but has functioned as Office Manager for the past 10 years. She handles all human resources and business management for the practice. She also acts as our Patient Care Representative to help our patients with any needs they may have in assuring they receive they highest quality of care. Karen brings her extensive knowledge related to medical insurances to assist patients with any question regarding their insurance and billing needs. Karen's kind manner, versatility, conscientiousness, strong work ethic, and experience have made her an invaluable asset to ACIC. Patients and therapist appreciate her warmth, professionalism, and efficiency.
